COVID Info

Update: Due to the current COVID situation worldwide, our keynote speakers will not be able to travel to Taiwan for APLX 2021. However, their talks will be streamed live (online platform will be provided to people that register). Except for our keynotes and international presenters, we still aim for APLX 2021 to convene as an in-person conference. Our conference will conform to Taiwan CDC’s COVID prevention and control measures, making sure this conference is intellectually stimulating yet safe for all.

As you may have already experienced, many conferences are being canceled or going virtual due to COVID-19. With strict safety measures, APLX2021 will convene as an in-person conference, like many other conferences that took place in Taiwan in 2020. With the downward trend of COVID cases worldwide, Taiwan is expecting to gradually loosen its restrictions on international travel. However, we still foresee safety requirements such a COVID-19 RT-PCR test report, a vaccination proof, or a shortened quarantine for international presenters. At the same time, we are also working on possible virtual presentations for our international attendees, should travel restrictions forbid them from coming to Taiwan. The organizing committee will continue to monitor the situation and post updates on our website.
